Collection: Featured Style: Washi Dice

I started making dice because I loved working with color and sparkle (I still do!), but when I discovered washi wrapping, my dice world expanded! I could create dice with complex patterns or even mini works of art, and I fell in love all over again!

Washi (translated to mean "Japanese paper") is a decorative masking tape made from natural materials like rice paper or bamboo. First created in Japan in 2006, it is now widely available.

I prefer to source my washi tapes from independent artists rather than big box stores or Amazon. In many cases, I've corresponded with these artists and shared with them my appreciation of their art. Where I know the name or social media handle of the artist or vendor, I've included it in the dice description.
